Why This Reference Exists
Kentucky has no single official page that gathers every county's current arrest and booking-photo information. County agencies use different custody pages, feeds, and request paths, and some counties have no verified public roster. The arresting police agency may hold a separate incident record. The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC) keeps profiles for people in state custody or under state supervision, and Kentucky courts record the later case activity. This site connects those layers and points readers toward the agency that created or holds the record. It does not publish booking photos of its own.
What Kentucky Readers Can Find
The statewide pages explain distinct record paths instead of treating every photo or name result as the same kind of record:
- The statewide records overview explains county rosters, arrest feeds, public-record requests, and the difference between county bookings and state custody.
- The County Directory routes readers to the county-level sites and their local official sources.
- Most Wanted describes official wanted lists and safe warrant checks; Are Mugshots Public? covers Kentucky law and its limits.
- The DOC Mugshots page explains the Kentucky Online Offender Lookup (KOOL), which is separate from a county jail roster.
- Old Mugshot Archives and Famous Kentucky Mugshots focus on historical records and sourced case histories.
What the Site Cannot Do
Kentucky Busted Mugshots is privately operated and is not part of a sheriff's office, county jail, corrections agency, court, or government body. It cannot act on behalf of those offices or change their records.
- It cannot confirm or change a person's current custody status, or release or transfer anyone.
- It cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for someone in custody.
- It cannot provide legal advice or file a court paper.
- It cannot promise that every linked agency page, fee, or contact detail remains current.
For a current county booking, contact the jail or sheriff that holds the person. For state custody, use Kentucky DOC's KOOL search or ask DOC directly. Only the responsible agency can confirm its live record.
Search Partners
Some search boxes connect to independent providers, which set their own prices and control their own results. If a visitor follows one of those tools to a paid signup, Kentucky Busted Mugshots may receive a referral fee. That fee helps support the free reference pages, but it does not give this site control over a partner's price, search method, or result.
