Search terms
A name, county, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Kentucky Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The search provider may handle them under its own privacy notice.
Messages
If you send a message through a contact channel provided by the site operator, its contents may be kept so the operator can review and answer it. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless required by law, such as under a valid legal order. Do not send sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
Technical Data and Cookies
When a page loads, the site or services that support it may receive technical details used to deliver, protect, and measure the page. These details can include:
- Your internet protocol (IP) address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them.
- The site that referred you, if available.
- The time and date of a visit.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may help measure page use and support advertising. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some tools or page features may work differently.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used for these limited site functions:
- Keep the pages available and responsive.
- Send a search request to the partner that runs the selected tool.
- See which pages readers use.
- Find and repair errors or other technical problems.
- Display advertising that may reflect general interests.
Outside Sites and Advertising
Links may lead to Kentucky sheriff and jail rosters, DOC pages, court portals, county-level sites, federal locators, or independent search services. Once you open an outside service, its own privacy notice and data practices apply. Kentucky Busted Mugshots does not control those systems.
Some advertising partners may use cookies or similar tools on their own systems to measure activity across sites and select ads. Their tracking takes place under their policies, not under this site's control.
Who May Receive Information
The operator does not sell personal data. Limited information may still reach the following parties when needed for the functions described above:
- Search partners that receive a query entered in their tool.
- Analytics services that measure page use or technical performance.
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads.
- Government bodies or law enforcement when disclosure is required by a valid legal order.
Security Practices
The site uses reasonable, ordinary safeguards to protect information it handles. No internet-connected service can promise perfect security, and no system can be guaranteed free of every breach, error, or failure.
Visitors Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information to the site, a parent or guardian may ask the operator to delete it through a contact method the operator makes available.
Your Data Rights
Where applicable law gives you rights over personal data that a controller holds, you may be able to ask to:
- Confirm whether the controller holds data about you and request a copy.
- Correct inaccurate personal data.
- Delete personal data the controller holds about you.
- Opt out of certain processing, including targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or qualifying profiling.
Kentucky's Consumer Data Protection Act, KRS 367.3611 to 367.3629, sets rights and duties for controllers within the law's scope. It has coverage thresholds and exemptions, so it does not apply to every site or every kind of information. See KRS 367.3613, KRS 367.3615, and KRS 367.3617. For data rights, use a current request method published by the controller; this page does not list an unverified email or mailing address. A separate Kentucky Open Records Act request under KRS 61.870 to 61.884 must go to the public agency that holds the government record, not to this private site.

This notice may change as the site's services or legal duties change. A revision takes effect when posted here, with a new effective date shown below.
